Meghan Casey Totten

Director of Communications

As Director of Communications, Meghan Casey Totten has helped keep Totten Communications in the forefront of media consulting.

Expertly balancing administrative and leadership duties, she maintains the web-based communications and company social media, coordinates communications with clients, the preservation of the company’s long history of excellent client relations, the promotion of new business development and assists in editing all written content generated by the firm.

With solid expertise in writing and print visual production, Meghan is continuously developing and constructing state-of-the-art social media platforms, along with the design and implementation of an ongoing interactive communications program to expand Totten Communications internet presence. Since joining the firm, Meghan has expanded her role to include the management of  day-to-day business affairs such as accounting, legal research, and company compliance.

Currently an active member of the American Bar Association as well as the National Federation of Paralegal Association, Meghan graduated from Georgetown University in the fall of 2014 with her Paralegal Certification.

After receiving her Bachelors Degree in English Literature from Marymount University, Meghan went to work for ThinkBusiness Magazine (TBM), a publication geared towards small to medium-sized business decision makers in the Washington, D.C. metro area. During her time at TBM, Meghan planned and hosted bi-monthly networking events, assisted in the monthly publication’s editing, writing business profiles, the creation of “best of” sections and the authoring of multiple cover stories.

Writing has not only been a professional endeavor for Meghan, but personal as well. Over the last 6 years she has created and authored a blog dedicated to art, poetry, books and music, Meghan has also hosted local poetry readings, performed her own works and has been a contributing writer for the national organization Women For One.

Meghan joined the Totten Communications team after working in the legal field, specifically focused on criminal defense, and in the tax industry at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. Her prior work allowed Meghan to develop her writing, administrative and management ability, computer and internet knowledge, along with cooperate event planning and hosting.

In 2012, Meghan was inducted into Worldwide Who’s Who for Excellence in Media Consulting. Soon after her induction, Meghan was recognized as a VIP member, this accomplishment was announced in the Worldwide Who’s Who annual publication as well as on their company website.
